By accessing or using OjoyLife, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. This includes any use of free or paid features, the AI travel quiz, the newsletter, optional push notifications, the referral program, gamification (points, levels, badges, streaks), and any user-generated content features such as public trip sharing. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. We may update these terms from time to time, and material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
OjoyLife provides AI-powered travel planning tools for personal and lawful commercial use. You agree to use the service in compliance with applicable laws, to provide accurate information, and to respect other users. You may not misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass our AI systems; use the referral program fraudulently (for example, by creating fake or duplicate accounts); use the AI to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content; or scrape, harvest, or copy our blog content, design, or data without permission.
Paid plans (Standard at $19.99/month or $159/year, Premium at $49.99/month or $399/year) are billed in advance through our payment partner Stripe (Stripe Inc. / Stripe Payments Europe Limited), a PCI-DSS Level 1 processor. Card details are entered directly into Stripe-hosted Checkout — they never touch OjoyLife servers. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price (plus any applicable taxes) until you cancel; by clicking subscribe and accepting the consent prompt at Checkout you give your express informed consent to those recurring charges, in line with the FTC ROSCA and California Auto-Renewal Law (ARL) requirements. You can cancel at any time from your profile via "Manage Billing" — that button opens Stripe's Customer Portal where you can cancel in one click, change plans, update payment methods, or download invoices; cancellation is no harder than signing up. After cancelling you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid invoice; outside that window, renewal charges and partial-period refunds are reviewed case-by-case (e.g. service outages, accidental double charges, unauthorised use) — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details. Where Stripe Tax is enabled, US sales tax / EU & UK VAT / GST are computed and collected by Stripe based on your billing address; business customers can enter a VAT / GST / ABN at Checkout to claim input tax. After every successful or failed charge you receive (a) the standard Stripe-hosted receipt with the line-item breakdown including any tax, and (b) an OjoyLife-branded confirmation email summarising the charge, plan, next renewal date, and links to manage your subscription, the refund policy, and support — both delivered to the email on file. Failed payments are retried following Stripe's standard dunning schedule; if payment cannot be collected after 21 days the subscription is automatically cancelled and the account is moved to the Free plan with no further charges. The active business entity for billing purposes is JOMARTHEL LLC (Virginia, USA).
OjoyLife is provided on an "as-available" basis. From time to time we run scheduled or emergency maintenance and may temporarily redirect non-admin visitors to a maintenance page; we make reasonable efforts to minimise downtime and to communicate planned maintenance in advance via in-app notification, email, or our status page where applicable. We do not guarantee any specific uptime SLA on the Free plan; paid plans receive priority restoration and, where a confirmed service outage materially affects you, prorated credits or partial refunds at our discretion (request via support@ojoylife.com). AI features are provided on a best-effort basis and may be temporarily unavailable while we update models or upstream providers — your access to your saved trips, settings, and downloaded data is preserved across these events.
Points, levels, badges, and streaks are virtual rewards intended to make travel planning more engaging. They have no monetary value, are not currency, cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash, and are not your property. OjoyLife may add, modify, reset, expire, or remove the gamification system, point balances, or any reward at any time without liability. Attempting to manipulate gamification through bots, scripts, or any form of automation is prohibited and may result in forfeiture and account suspension.
Both the referrer and the referred user must be unique, real individuals with separate accounts and payment methods. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fake email addresses, paid traffic in violation of these terms, and any other fraudulent activity are prohibited and will void any related rewards. Referral rewards (such as free months of Premium) are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be combined with certain promotions. OjoyLife may modify, limit, or end the referral program at any time, and may revoke rewards earned in violation of these terms.
If you choose to make a trip plan public or share it via a public link, you grant OjoyLife a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. You retain ownership of your content. You are solely responsible for ensuring that shared content does not include private, sensitive, confidential, or third-party personal information, and that you have all necessary rights. OjoyLife may, at its discretion, remove or restrict access to content that violates these terms or applicable law.
All blog articles, guides, images, and editorial content published on OjoyLife are owned by OjoyLife or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may read, link to, and share short excerpts with attribution for personal, non-commercial use. Reproducing, republishing, scraping, training AI models on, or commercially using our content without express written permission is prohibited.
Recommendations, itineraries, summaries, and other content generated by OjoyLife's AI features are provided for informational and inspirational purposes only. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and should not be treated as professional advice. You are responsible for independently verifying all critical travel information including (but not limited to) visa and entry requirements, health and safety advisories, vaccination rules, current pricing, availability, opening hours, and local laws with authoritative sources before making decisions or bookings.
OjoyLife may link to or integrate with third-party services such as booking providers, mapping providers, payment processors, and external content sources. Live flight and hotel pricing comes from Amadeus, experiences are AI-generated with provider links to Viator / GetYourGuide / Tripadvisor, and transport and restaurant tabs surface deep links into Rome2Rio, Google Transit, Uber, KAYAK, OpenTable, and TheFork — these searches are available to every signed-in user subject to fair-use daily limits. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement. OjoyLife is not responsible for the content, products, services, availability, accuracy, pricing, or practices of any third party, and any transactions you enter into with them are solely between you and that third party.
OjoyLife is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, OjoyLife and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or travel-related costs arising from or related to your use of the service or reliance on AI-generated information. AI recommendations are informational only and are not a guarantee of accuracy, suitability, availability, or outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
You may not: engage in illegal activity through the service; scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data, blog content, or AI output; impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation; distribute malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other accounts; create multiple or fake accounts to game the referral system; manipulate gamification through bots, scripts, or any form of automation; spam the newsletter or push notifications; submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or hateful; or interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the service.
The OjoyLife name, logo, branding, website design, software, AI models, prompts, training data curation, and all related intellectual property are owned by OjoyLife or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or proprietary materials except as expressly permitted in writing. Feedback you provide may be used by OjoyLife without obligation.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA (the home jurisdiction of JOMARTHEL LLC, the operator of OjoyLife), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where permitted by law, you and OjoyLife agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting legal@ojoylife.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be settled by binding individual arbitration seated in Virginia Beach, VA, USA where applicable, and you waive any right to participate in a class action, except where such waiver is prohibited by law. You retain any non-waivable consumer rights under your local law.
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the gamification or referral systems, or pose a security or safety risk. From the Settings panel on your Profile page you can also change your email and password, enrol a TOTP second factor, manage privacy and notification preferences, view and unlink connected sign-in methods (Google/Apple/password), export a JSON archive of all your data, and permanently delete your account. Account deletion (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) is self-service and immediate: any active subscription is cancelled with a prorated refund, your trips, conversations, saved destinations and personal data are removed, and your reviews are anonymized rather than deleted so other travellers retain destination context. We retain non-personal audit records (resource ids, timestamps, action types) and Stripe-side invoice records as required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection law. You may also email privacy@ojoylife.com if you prefer assisted deletion.
